FULL TRACK / STEREO MASTERING
Full track mastering is the final step in audio post production. The purpose of mastering is to balance the sonic elements of a stereo mix and optimise playback across all systems and media formats. Traditionally, mastering is performed using tools such as equalisation, resonance elimination, balancing, compression, clipping/saturation, limiting and stereo enhancement.

PREPPING YOUR PRE-MASTERS READY FOR MASTERING
Bounce down or record your track so that the master level meter reads between -4 dB and -6 dB (Peak) for clear headroom, ready for the mastering process. Save your files in (at least) 24 bit/32 bit – 44.1 kHz WAV/AIFF format. Name your files: „Artist Name – Track Name – Date (e.g. 01012024)“. Please send your pre-master via WeTransfer, DropBox or similar websites/apps (not via e-mail).
RETURN TIMES
A song or EP (3 tracks) will normally be returned within 3 working days (Mon-Fri).
Albums can take up to 7 working days (Mon-Fri).

Prices
It’ll take some time to analyse your track & sound, find the right hardware to improve the sound, tweak all knobs, analyse the result again and record your final master in realtime. If the result doesn’t meet your expectations, it will be reworked one time. If I think that the pre-Master won’t lead to optimal results, I will inform you before starting the mastering process.

STEM MIXING & MASTERING (prepping)
Please provide full bandwidth 24/32 bit (and at least 44.1kHz) stereo files of identical length/duration with enough headroom (about -6 dB on master channel). Export your stems from exactly the same timecode position in your DAW timeline so that they will synchronise when I put them into my DAW. This will always involve setting left and right locators when you bounce/export your files. When preparing your files, remember that ideal stems should combine/sum in your DAW and sound virtually identical to the stereo mixdown when combined and played together. Please send all of your audio files via WeTransfer, DropBox or similar websites/apps (not via e-mail).
